Frequently Asked Questions

Here are the questions that our clients most often want the answers to. Please see the Contact page if you'd like to talk to us in person about any of our products.

Q How are you keeping us safe during the COVID19 crisis?

Our hygiene standards have been and always will be 5-star. We use hair nets, clean aprons and latex free gloves for each cake, we also now use n95 face masks and only handle the boxes using gloves too. Box lids are now sealed to prevent lifting until you get home.

We now have a 'contact-free' collection process; we arrange a collection time, you arrive and beep your horn, we put your cake box on a clean plastic tray for you and then go back inside. Simply collect your cake and pop it in your car boot. It's as simple and fuss-free as that!

If you would prefer, we can put the box in your boot for you while you stay in your car.

Q: How much notice do you need?

At least 3 days notice but as our order book fills up very quickly, if you have a specific date in mind then please book as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

Q: How much will my cake cost?

All of our cakes are made to your exact specifications. The size, flavour(s) and amount of detail all affect the cost, so if you contact us with your ideas we will give you an accurate quote

To do this, we need the following details:

- date required

- size (or number of guests to serve)

- flavours

- any message required

Q: How do I pay for my cake ?

By bank transfer please as we no longer accept cash. Payment must be made at least 24hrs before collection.

Q: How should I transport my cake home?

Your cake will be boxed ready for collection but it needs to be transported carefully to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.

Transport on a flat surface (the boot or footwell of your car is ideal).

DO NOT put the box on a car seat as it will be tilted.

Q: How should I store my cake?

Keep your cake in its box and in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Q: Can you deliver my cake?

All prices are for collection. We can deliver within Harrogate at a small additional cost. Delivery must be arranged at the time of booking.

Q: Does (a flavour of cake) have (an allergen) in it?

If you have any specific dietary requirements please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be more than happy to provide any information you need.

As a general rule, all of our baking contains:

- Wheat flour (apart from our Gluten Free products)

- Eggs

- Cow's milk

All of our products are made in a kitchen where nuts and wheat flour are used, therefore even if the product does not contain these as ingredients, they are not suitable for people with severe allergies or people who suffer from Coeliac Disease.
